Frequently Asked Questions
Why hasn’t my financial aid paid?
A: Financial aid (loans, grants, scholarships, and waivers) disburses and applies to your student account as early as two weeks prior to the start of classes. Disbursement of financial aid will occur once you have completed all requirements and provided all necessary documentation/information. If you are expecting financial aid and do not see it apply, review your financial aid award online to confirm all requirements have been complete.
Why do I have a late fee?
A: Past due balances are subject to a late payment charge of $1.00 or 1.5% (whichever is greater) per month until your student account is paid in full.
Account balances 60 days or more past due will be assessed a past due charge of $2.00 per month in addition to the late payment charge.
Accounts placed in collections are charged a $42.00 administrative collection fee.
Why do I have a registration hold?
A: The University Bursar will place a hold on your student account that will prevent registration if you have a past due amount of over $1,500. Once payment is received for the past due balance, the hold will be removed.
When will I get my refund?
A: If you are signed up for direct deposit, it takes approximately 3-4 business days for the refund to deposit in your bank account. If you are not enrolled in direct deposit, a check will be mailed to the address on file with the University Bursar. It can take over 10 days from the date your refund transaction is posted for a check to be sent to your mailing address.
How can I set up a payment plan?
